Contest Rules & Legal Terms

    • Audience Award (Grand Prize):
      $1,000 cash prize decided by business-owner voting.

  • Deadlines: Submit by October 31, 2025 (11:59 PM PST). Winners announced December 1, 2025.

  • Promotion: Any online or offline promotion to attract business-owner votes is allowed.

  • IP: Submissions transfer ownership rights to VAVIDA upon upload (permanent & irreversible). Teams keep moral credit.

1. Eligibility
 

  • Open to students currently enrolled in high school, college, or university as well as independent creators worldwide who believe they have what it takes.

  • Teams may consist of multiple members, with one designated Team Lead as the primary contact.

  • Each team may submit only one entry.

  • Participants must be 14 years of age or older. If under 18, parental or guardian consent is required.
     

2. Contest Overview
 

  • Teams are invited to create and submit an original film trailer based on the provided text.

  • They can use or mix in the already recorded and provided voiceover, music, or AI-generated footage, but are also free to create their own voiceover, music, or visuals.
     

3. Submission Requirements
 

  • Trailers must be submitted via the official Apply Form on vavida.com.

  • File format: provide a link (Google Drive, Dropbox, YouTube, or Vimeo).

  • Deadline: October 31, 2025 at 11:59 PM PST.

  • Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered.
     

4. Content Guidelines
 

  • All content must be original and created by the submitting team.

  • Use of copyrighted music, footage, or images is prohibited unless you own the rights or have obtained proper licenses.

  • Content must not contain offensive, discriminatory, or unlawful material.
     

5. Judging, Selection & Awards


a) Panel Awards (Skills-Based Categories)
Entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges from the film, TV, and advertising industries.
 

Awards will be given for excellence in:

  1. Best Emotional Cut – editing style and pacing that maximizes emotional impact.

  2. Best Screenplay & Storytelling – clarity, originality, and narrative strength.

  3. Best Text Display & Typography – innovative and on-brand use of titles, captions, and text overlays.

  4. Best Visuals – quality of AI-generated, selected, or original footage.

  5. Best Trailer Music & Sound – creative use of sound design, additional music, or audio effects to enhance emotion.
     

b) Audience Award (Grand Prize)
 

An audience award based on popular voting by successful business owners will determine the VAVIDA Clockbusters Best Film Trailer 2025 Award winner, who will receive a $1,000 USD cash prize.
 

c) Vetting Votes & Fraud Prevention
 

  • All votes will be verified by VAVIDA’s Security Team to ensure that only legitimate business owners are counted.

  • Measures will be taken to prevent and eliminate double voting, fake accounts, and fraudulent practices.

  • Any suspicious votes detected will be disqualified and removed from the count.
     

6. Promotion
 

  • Teams are encouraged to promote their trailer to as many business owners as possible.

  • Any form of promotion, online or offline, is allowed as long as it remains legal and ethical.

  • Convincing entrepreneurs to vote for your work will increase visibility, career opportunities, and your chance to win the prestigious Grand Prize and recognition.
     

7. Contest Timeline
 

  • Now: Contest is open, applications accepted.

  • October 31, 2025: Submission deadline at midnight PST.

  • December 1, 2025: Winners announced on our website; Team Leads notified by email.
     

8. Intellectual Property & Usage Rights
 

  • Teams retain moral credit for their work (names and team information will be credited wherever possible).

  • However, by submitting, you irrevocably transfer full ownership rights of the contest work product to VAVIDA LLC at the exact moment of submission via the contest website.

  • This transfer is permanent, binding, and cannot be withdrawn or reversed for any reason.

  • VAVIDA grants each team a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use the submitted trailer for personal, educational, and promotional purposes (including social media, websites, and events).
     

9. Disqualification
 

  • Any team found to have plagiarized content or violated contest rules will be disqualified.

  • VAVIDA reserves the right to reject submissions that do not align with its values.
     

10. Liability
 

  • VAVIDA Clockbusters and its affiliates are not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected entries, technical issues, or disputes within teams.

  • Participants are responsible for ensuring their work complies with all copyright and legal standards.
     

11. Acceptance of Rules
 

By submitting the application form and checking the box “I have read and agree to the Contest Rules & Legal Terms”, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
 

12. Governing Law
 

These Contest Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA.
